I am amazed by the folks who pass up Model Railroader because it has too
much HO, or too many ads. No, I don't subscribe. But I always look at
the TofC when I'm in my hobby shop (about every month), and if I see
something that catches my eye I buy it.

There is very little that is strictly scale-specific, except perhaps for
the layout visits. But these copiously-photographed gems nearly always
give me some inspiration -- scenery, detailing, etc.

And the ads! I always read MR twice -- First for the articles, then
second for the ads. I nearly always find someone offering S products
that I didn't know about, usually in fine print. And even when I don't
find any, there usually something I can learn from some of the ads.
