KATO makes HO, Barber S-2 70 Ton roller bearing trucks that have spinning
bearing, and they are by far the best rolling trucks that I have EVER seen in
the HO market as well as the best looking! Period! End of debate! The only
drawback of them is that they are ridgid, not sprung. I'm not aware of what
type plastic material they used to make them, but whatever it is, it is slick
as greased glass to the needle-axels that run through them for the bearing cap
to secure to. When I had a 4' X 8' HO layout, I could flip these trucks (with
my finger) around the entire layout no less than twice before they stopped
rolling, and a car equipped with them would go around a little over three times
on its own.
