Happy weekend from the Pines and Prairies s Scale Workshop. This was a
great week, we visited Dave Jasper's and made great progress on the
benchwork and actually laid about 12 freet of Rail. Dave bought some of the
Custom Tracks from Iowa, he thinks it is really neat. Dave is always into
the latest and greatest and he likes to try new technology. The odd flip
side of that is that Dave is extreemly frugal when it comes to layout
building materials. The joke was that some of the 2 X 4's that Dave was
using for benchwork were fished out of the Mississippi River and partially
dried before he built them into the layout. I don't believe it is true but
then again Dave did not deny it. I went home with a few slivers so Friday,
I made the decision to get my Tetinus Shot updated.
Next week, we are at Steve Doyle's reworkiong some of the kinks that come
when you start out in the hobby. As you get more experienced some of the
odd angles that track comes together are not acceptable. I think we have
all been there have we not?
