Images of the XMu can be found on page 113 of the 1931 car builders
cyclopedias, an end photo is a few page further. Color pictures of both
cars can be found in "RDG Color Guide to Freight and Passenger
Equipment" by Craig T. Bossler, out of the Morning Sun Books collection.
On page 6 is the 1874 BXmu, one of 25 cars in the class, painted coach
green with imt. gold lettering. The RDG 102123 XMu car can be found on
page 68. There were 2000 in this class and they are very similar to the
1923 ARA design (PRR X-29). The car is boxcar red with white lettering.
Both cars lettering seems about the same except for the color.
I have one of these brass models somewhere, and if my memory is
correct, the roof angle of the model seemed to be a bit steep. From the
pictures here, it seems to be the same as a PRR X-29.
