Hi All,
The annual Copetown Event has passed once again. It's where are the Canadian
Manufacturers get to rub elbows with the rivet counters. S scale had the
largest showing in many ways.
We had the S Scale Canadian Workshop's modular layout up for the first time.
I was right across from it doing my M.L.W. Services and NASG promotion thing.
There are 7 guys, Chris Abbot, Oliver Clubine, David Clubine, Andy Malette,
Jim Martin, Peter Moffet and Simon Parent. We come from all places and use a
common interface to join our modules. Some were very complete and some, mine
was not even close. Most of us used Simon's tie plates. They look great!
There were CNR Moguls running and even a K-3 Pacific had a turn.
There was some interest in the S scale K-3 kit by non-S Scalers. In all many
were impressed but the same old line "If I could sell my HO, I would change
over." I was still selling off the last of my HO collection and amazingly
enough, I sold almost all my remainder off.
AL Ferguson of Black Cat has drawn the S scale CNR Maple Leafs up. Are there
any suggestions as to what people would be interested in? Reefer lettering?
Caboose lettering? etc. etc.
cheers,
Andy Malette
cheers,
Andy Malette
