There has been some discussion lately regarding decals. I'm looking for
grain hoppers in road names that I've not seen offered by PRS, SHS, or
AM, therefore I've been checking for appropriate (or "close enough'')
decals. Along with this I'm checking for prototype photos and correct
number series. Perhaps this information might interest others. Perhaps
this type of information would help our S manufacturers sell their grain
hopper overstocks (I'm told it is not terribly difficult to remove the
factory lettering and save the paint). I posted the data that I've
collected thus far as LOdecals.xls at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/files/mhrreast/
Let me know if you have data to add. I hope that I have the cu. ft.
capacity correct for these three S-scale cars. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Quite some time back there was discussion regarding switch ties, how
they are not spaced uniformly, I said that I would look for the article
that I'd seen on that topic. I finally found my source for this
information; Mainline Modeler, Oct. 1994. This article has templates
for #'s 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 16, and 20, a good reference for our S scale
switch manufacturers.
