Hi Greg, I did one a while back to see what was involved. I cut
it apart and glued the halves to a wider plastic base, it requires a
bit of length added between the frog and the points. I guess one could
add short ties sections between the halves to make them look
connected.It works fine but the points are formed from sheet metal and
the frog is plastic. I don't think it is worth the trouble especially
if you have the fastracks jig. I think I threw my test subject in the
trash but if it's still in the workshop I'll mail it to you so you can
check it out!.....dave
