Hi Jamie!

Well, you got my vote!

I will look up the bike rentals. I think a biking tour of Boston could be
perfect. Faster than walking, yet still able to see the sights.

Thanks for the help!

Subject: {S-Scale List} Bicycling to Baltimore

  Hi All,
Here's the information I have gathered so far on our upcoming
bicycle tour in the Baltimore area. I contacted a bike shop in
Baltimore. They rent bikes for $25 per day. You can even reserve a
bike over the web at lightstcycles.com The Northern Central Rail
Trail starts in Ashland, heads north through Sparks, Monkton and
Parkton and on up the MD/PA state line. A Pennsylvania extension of
the trail heads north to York, PA. There are several options for
parking and distances to ride. The trail website says the southern
end can get crowded on weekends. A check of the tentative convention
schedule indicates that Friday or Saturday might be good days to
ride. I can see about getting this on the official schedule if
demand warrants. My bike rack will hold four bikes, and I can get
four folks in the van, or we can take out the seats and carry 7 or 8
bikes and get other people to drive to the trailhead if more people
want to go. I'll brush up on my Northern Central history so I can
give a rolling clinic if you want, and I promise not to ride too
fast. Who wants to go on what could be an historic, prescient
setting NASG event? I think there's a trail near Boston for 2008.
It could become a yearly thing.
