Okay, here's a question for those who have been in S scale longer than
I have. I obtained a while back, a pair of HO gauge MDC/Roundhouse
Shay locomotive kits. Regauged for Sn3 or left in HO gauge (as Sn42),
they work quite well, and run nicely.
But I'm getting off the point. I have obtained several more of these
kits off of ebay (which may have been a mistake - they're fun kits,
but kind of time consuming to build). One of the first two kits I
obtained came with a plastic/urethane/resin cab, sized for S narrow
gauge, custom made to fit the MDC Shay, as a STEEL cab. Now, I know
that Banta makes their wood cab kits for these locomotives, but I was
wondering if anyone knew the possible manufacturer of this
plastic-cast steel cab? I'd like to get a couple more of them to use
for the larger three-truck Shay locomotives (the wood cabs look nice
and work, but they don't look right on the larger locomotives).
Any ideas?
