You can "swing" the coupler box by using a center screw only mounting and a
centering spring of some sort to center 802 box. I have seen a strip of rubber
band , or thin dia. length of piano wire, or light coil spring attached to back
of Coupler draft gear box with other end attached to car body centerline.

Another aproach is the "Traction" style coupler mounting....Mount 802 box to a
strip of brass/plastic, length to fit car spacing of truck (about 1-2"),
mounted to bottom of floor in front of truck bolster. this would allow coupler
to swing in a radius from side to side. Limitations are underframe details and
design and end steps. This may also require some method of spring centering.
