Not to labor the subject, but if you need more than four turnouts, get a
Fast Tracks turnout jig. The time spent converting an HO Atlas switch can
be spent on assembling a much nicer switch with the jig. If you make just
five switches, the cost is the same as buying 5 Shinohara switches. Up
side, much smoother. Time wise, my first switch took 2.5 hrs and by the
time my fourth one was made in the jig the time was down to 1.5 hrs, but
that included BSing while I showed my friend how easy it was. I have the #5
c100 and plan on buying the #6 jig after the first of the yr. Sure glad I
didn't invest in Shinoharas and time futzing with HO switches. I did an HO
to S #4 many yrs ago and IMHO the frog was the biggest problem. Why a #4,
because that is what I had at the time from my HO days. VBG
