I use 1/16x1/8" styrene to fill the spaces between the cut Atlas ties,
which I haven' done on the switch in the photo, or on the majority of
the switches I have installed on the layout, yet.

Yes, I have added rail sections to increase the point-to-frog distance
to better reflect the S scale standard.

The more of these I do, the easier it becomes. I believe I can do one
in less than an hour, now, without adding the rail sections.

Bob Nicholson, who can take twenty years to figure out how to do
something in twenty minutes/
