I have not used SHS flex track, but in case somebody is thinking of
applying the recently discussed methods to AM flextrack, I offer a
caution. White and yellow glue set up hard and seem to make a
mechanical bond to ties but not an "adhesive" bond. On our club
SMODules which do get banged around a bit during transportation,
occasionally the mechanical bond breaks loose, even when the ties are
surrounded by glued down ballast. For this "heavy duty" use,
adhesives that maintain some flexibility seem to be less prone to
popping loose. This experience with AM plastic ties might apply to
other brands of plastic ties also.
