Bill, not to stray too far from this thread's intended purpose but, the
NMRA has certainly made some curves in their practices and politics that
have turned off some people. However, just like our two political
party's they don't always serve the desired purpose in some folks
opinion, but there the only thing we've got--face it, who else can throw
together the national NMRA convention every year. Additionally one
thing that most people are not aware of is the NMRA has a great
liability policy that can be used for local train shows. If you've ever
tried to get a 'weekend' policy to put one on--your talking major
bucks. If your sponsoring club is 100% NMRA the liability is dirt cheap.
