>Any know what the Minimum radius would be for a USRA mike?

I have operated the Overland 2-8-2 out of the box on a 33-inch radius
s-curve without any problem.

A sharper radius may be possible, because our friends at the NMRA
state in RP 11 <http://www.nmra.org/standards/rp-11.html> that an S
scale model with the USRA mikado's wheelbase of 16-feet, 9-inches
should "operate satisfactorily at restricted speed" on 31-inch
radius curves.

On this model the first sign of a radius that is too tight will
probably be that the top of the tender coal gate touches the cab
roof, creating a short circuit.
