This is because containers come in two widths, 8 and 8½ feet. There is
something on the real Husky Stack cars that flips out for the 8½ foot
containers and flips to hold the 8 foot containers. As far as I know, they
are not available in S unless you find out what they look like and make them
yourself. I will ask on the intermodal list if anyone knows of a close-up
picture of this device.
The real Husky Stacks also have something on the floor that keeps 40 ft
containers from sliding forward and backward A person might be able to
fabricate something like that.
