<limited S scale product variety>

Dave:

It's true that S scale does not have near the selection of items to choose
from as do the more popular scales. If massive product variety is high on
the priority list of a hobbiest looking for a scale to settle into, then S
is definitely the wrong scale to be in.

For me, it was the size of S that attracted me. Yes, the limited selection
of "plop n' play" engines/cars didn't fully settle in on me at the onset...
but at least I learned enough to have an idea of what I was getting into.

Though I'm currently stagnant with my modeling... it isn't because of S in
particular. Overall, IF I'm going to muster the energy to again build
craftsman models, then I think S is still an ideal size. If I deflate
completely and give up on benchwork modeling, instead wanting to fink-out
and go to a much more "plop n' play" format, then I will need to look at
other scale venues.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
