Roy, My Fuji S-2 used 4 AA batteries. I bought 8 rechargable ones plus
a quick charger and used them the entire time I owned the camera, now my
wife uses them in her Nikon. So I guess the life has been 5 years +, a
decent investment.
Right now I have the Nikon D2X and a Kodak SLR14n. Both use two
different style batteries and require unique chargers. It's a pain in
the butt but both are giving me what I need.
