Gary, It's funny you mentioned the Briggs speeder. Just the other day
I was wondering if anyone had received their speeders. The original
delivery date was February of 2006. This brings me to the continuing
saga of the Budd cars from Kaslo. The original completion date for
the masters was November of 2005.(see message #32973) In March of
2006 I believe Kaslo's website said the Budd masters were 60%
complete. In late September John Whitmore emailed me stating the
first Budd cars would be coming out in late fall-early winter 2006.
(see message #38920) As of 4/18/07 the following is posted on the
Kaslo website. "S Scale NYC Budd Car Project - This project has been
delayed while Briggs Models re-organizes their project schedule."
When the Budd go ahead was announced, I emailed Ed L. about the
delivery problems on the Kaslo PRR N5c cabin car. I told him at that
time I thought the delivery schedule was too optimistic and that,
based on prior performance, the delivery could be 3-5 years. The fact
that Briggs is doing the masters and has not yet delivered his
speeders doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Jim Duncan
