FWIW...  A few simple rules we've used.  Certainly not meant as a "be 
all, end all" set, but they have helped us make decisions.  In May 
River Raisin Models will deliver its 29th project since January 1988, 
over 60 physically different models.  Doesn't come close to the 
biggies in S, but it is still decent.  Regrettably it seems 'the 
buzz' on forums like this generally takes for granted manufacturers 
like BTS, SHS, AM, DPH and others who have been loyally serving S 
scale for years.  Anyway...

1.  Say what you'll do and do what you say...
2.  Pick a project, commit to it and finish it!
3.  If "finish" means cancel, then have the courage to say so and 
move on.
4.  Think three projects ahead but never announce more than one 
project ahead.
5.  Learn something from each project and bake it into the next and 
the next and...
6.  Listen to the ideas of others, but never forget whose money is 
really at risk.
