I was doing some spring cleaning in one of my caverns and
decided I would take a break and check out this list. I use to drop
by a lot in the past but have stayed away for quite awhile. Rolling
that boulder aside to get out exhausts me. I noticed a couple of
comments that gave me reason to think about some modeling concepts
mentioned in a few of the posts on the list.
Brass is a modeling medium, not a definition of somebodys wealth
or social status. Paper is a medium, wood and plastic are modeling
mediums. They are also not definitive of a persons wealth or social
status. It's not the medium that the modeler chooses to model in that
defines his character.
I've chosen to model in brass and I enjoy it and that is truely
what counts. The side benefit is that I spend a lot less than when I
was modeling in plastic.
Maybe I'm in the wrong place anyway. Maybe I don't belong here
at all. I consider myself a modeler and I happen to really like
models of trains, especially when done in S scale. I just happen to
enjoy building them out of brass

I once heard a guy say "He who dies with the most toys wins" I left
thinking "Geez, I'm always the last to know, nobody ever told me I
was in that kind of contest!!!!"
