Good afternoon,

Yes, you sure have to sort thru some of the listings, otherwise you would have
to believe Tyco made S, and anything with two rail track like Hafner clockwork
stuff had to be S because of the two rail track, or since Lionel makes S, all
Lionel ought to be S.... then ya gotta love some of the photos...I wonder if
there has ever been a photo on eBay that was overexposed...or the black photo
with either a white stripe or 8 little brass spots for the under shot view...or
the AF Santa Fe A-B-A, two engines and the bunk car for the crew to sleep in.
Has anyone bought any of the resin buildings, is it Grannville? You can tell
the warehouse has a roof and the houses have windows, the remaining details
seem to be rather unclear. Then you do have a few oddities once in a while
like the NYC E unit here several days ago, think it was listed as brass and
metal...I saw two of these units back in 1971, Glenn Oberlin bought them
somewhere, at the time they were painted red and lettered SP, with Glenn's love
for the NYC, ya gotta wonder if that one was one of the ones that passed thru
his operations at one time ???? And I love the ones, like you say, I know
nothing about trains....then there are the ones that say: I know nothing about
trains, but this was made from June 15 1953 to Feb 2 1954 it has the very rare
orange crackel paint, and was stamped at a time before the die was overhauled
as noted by the incomplete punching on the tabs on the back of the floor
panel...please feel free to ask any questions, if I can't answer them I will
try to find someone that can... and then the Miller shell and frame W&W 1003,
been on there about four time with different sellers, and the price keeps
getting a bit lower each time...at its first offering I guess it was the one
broken truck that jumped ithe interest and price right on up there... or
excellent condition...hhhmmmm ok, well, what is there is excellent!!!!

Have a great week

gale hall
