If I understand the above wiring arrangement as described, it seems to
me that the 1-1/2 volt bulbs will be exposed to the full voltage output
of the decoder which might be hazardous to their health. Is it
possible the resistors are wired in SERIES with the bulbs? That would
be quite a bit safer. Don't let the magic smoke out or else things
