Gents....My opinion is that S scale is so devoid of products in the
local hobby stores that we have all realized that helping each other is
the best way to keep things going. The typical HO guy can trundle down
to his hobby shop or open the Walther's catalog and find darn near
anything he wants. In S scale, you might become frustrated at the lack
of easily available products and you soon learn that finding some guy
who has already faced the same problem that you are facing is
frequently the fastest path to a solution. The internet and this S-
Scale List certainly do speed things up. In the goode olde daze, we
used to use postal mail and/or annual conventions for the same purpose.
I am not sure that we are any more helpful than those in other minority
scales. I think it goes with the territory once you venture down a
