Roy and John....Have you actually approached a manufacturer regarding
his willingness to make an auto rack kit designed to fit onto an
existing flat car? This would be a logical first step to take to get
the car you crave. Mark me down for one! Good luck...Ed L.

Indeed I have, Ed... and the whole reason I have been searching the internet
for (and finding) information and photos of this car is the only reason I'm
giving my time to it. I approached SHS, and Don said for us to find everything
we can find on the Evans system and send it to him. I haven't found any actual
drawings for the actual NYC car, and I know that I never will, because it was
not a "production" car... it was a experimental modification to an existing
flat car. I may someday turn up drawings for the actual Evans Auto-Loader
System, but I still have no idea where to start looking for them. It is
possible that the Evans system could also have been shortened for use on
shorter flats where only 4 autos would fit it... but I doubt it since its
claim-to-fame was that it could carry six cars.

Putting myself down for FIVE of them!!!
