As a bit to my surprise the wheel treads were pretty blackened from track schmutz of some sort making the "permanently shiny" wheels not as shiny. We did not really count on that one! Now that is a bit ironic.... Bill, IF your customer ran anything with plastic wheels, could explain the "schmutz". Was an issue on the NTTM layout until I started to run almost exclusively SHS cars with metal wheels. We DO run A/F cabooses for "drag". Seldom clean track, now.
