Filing away all the flash and clearing the holes makes all the difference.  
The knuckle should flop in the jaws before you glue the halves together.

I keep the all knuckles on that same wire while I remove the flash and file 
away any excess.  400 grit sand paper helps get in the tight areas.

I use 5 minute epoxy and I clamp them with clothes pins or those little 
plastic alligator clamps from dollar stores.  Rememeber to keep the glue 
away from the ball and the ball pocket.

After a while, you can do one in about 10 minutes or less.

If you hold one upside down to have the ball go up into the pocket, the 
knuckle should still flop.
