Dump the On30, you can't do Colorado in On30. Besides the new 
Bachmann On30 4-4-0 is a slide into the On30 "Conspiracy" abyss. It 
is an HO engine with a big cab, something that can be built from a 
Mantua ten wheeler. What a waste of tooling.

Besides if you are here you are an S scaler. S scalers are born to 
it, it is something that chooses you, you don't choose it.

Buy yourself an SHS 2-8-0, you will love the locomotive enough to 
build S scale standard gauge. I find the RTR aspect of S standard 
gauge equipment great. It is easier to not be overwhelmed with the 
thought of a layout if there is not the aspect of building all the 
cars from kits or scratch. I have reduced my 1870's Sn3.5 layout to a 
small shelf layout. I find going between the two eras refreshing. 
They require different thought process.
