Hi Bill,
Rube Goldberg implies overly complicated.  After all the ways I was thinking
about above the 'table' solutions, this seemed very simple.  The basic idea
came to me after Michael E (I believe) said he uses two Tortoises -- one for
the turnouts and one for the switch stand.  
I just wasn't getting the throw the switch stand needed to operate from the
turnout's throw.  After seeing Michael E's post, I thought why not duplicate
the Tortoise's method and use the existing Tortoise to power the lever.
Seemed simple...
If there is an easier way to get the switch stand to work, I would like to
know.  New ideas and tinkering are what makes it fun for me.
