Andre (André?) sez
I do hope [American Models] discontinue the trend toward "Gription" traction
tires. I want all the metal touching the
rails as is possible . . . . . . . . .

I am perhaps a little more familiar with American Models than André and some of
you, so let me explain a few things.

American Models is more flexible than you think. Even if you use the web-based
order form, I think there's room for text comments, and in addition to saying
"low speed gearing, please," you can also say "no Gription wheels, all metal,
please."

However, if they've started putting rubber tires on their scale diesel locos,
that's news to me. They know most scale-types don't want that sort of thing.
To the best of my knowledge, they only offer Gription on one scale wheel and
that's a driver wheel for their pacific steam loco. (One of my customers has
it and loves it.)

In any event, for the information of our high-rail brethren, high-rail locos
from AM come with one Gription wheelset per power truck, and that can be
deleted just by asking. Your order may take a day or two longer, but they'll
do it.
