Ah hah!  I wasn't thinking in terms of good ol' steamers.  My diesel 
mentality was showing through.  My past experience in HO was that model 
diesels typical can't pull what the prototype can on level ground, but can 
exceed it by an unrealistic margin on a gradient.  Back when I used to model 
mountain railroading... I had to contrive tonnage ratings to hold the 
diesels back and give a "reason" for doubling the mountain, etc.

Given my new direction (essentially no grades), I'll suspect tonnage rating 
won't even be an issue.

Dear me, it's 5:50 AM... time to head off to work!!

I'll bet you guys can bet on more posts by yours truly when I get home this 
evening sometime... after all... I've been MODELING.  (Gasp!!!)
