Okay... so I'm all pumped again about S (std) and my little KC Lines layout
idea. (Pity this list.)
SOoooo... I've been on a "buying binge" as well as some actual MODELING.
You already know about receiving my AM S12 in CB&Q, but in addition to that
I've also:
* Closed the deal/sent payment on about 11 AM boxcars.
* Closed the deal/sent payment for a Ford C-Liner and trailer.
* Prepared two orders for decals.
* Picked up two large sheets of matboard to use for photoflats.
* Created a couple more photoflats.
* Picked up some spray paint colors to experiment doing "quickie" weathering
on the flex track.
* Getting ready to send off a sizable order for RTR AM boxcars.
In fact, I have been so pumped that I decided to order another S12 in Undec
to use for a quickie-Mop S12. This I did... HOWEVER... in my excitement and
haste, I decided I needed TWO undec S12's (I've learned that the Katy had
them)... so a couple days ago I called AM with the idea of canceling the
internet order for 1, and re-order two.
Imagine my surprise upon arriving home today after an early quit (we
finished switching Job 2 in about 5 hours. Got paid for 8. Eat your heart's
out) to find an AM box on my doorstep!! Wow, that was FAST!
Opening it up... I found a single S12 Undec therein.
Uh-oh.
Pick up the phone.
Called AM.
Ooops. My bad.
I now will be the proud owner of THREE Baldwin S12's! All undec!
Ah, but now for the "S"erendipitous part: I would have never ordered three
on purpose... but now that I have accidently done so... what to do with the
third one?
Never fear. I hope to eventually kitbash it into Frisco DS-4-4-1000 #241.
You see? Serendipity. A happy accident.
It was meant to be.
