Hi All ---

All this discussion about turnouts is good, but I have to ask -- how many of
US would purchase these RTR turnouts? I suspect that most of us who have
running railroads would have to say that all this is for "future" modelers
in scale S, and not for us. Maybe I am wrong in my thinking, maybe there
are lots of US that won't build a scale S railroad until RTR turnouts are
available. I think there has to be a "hands up" by potential buyers before
things go too much further... I won't start a poll, but maybe there ought
to be one?

Have fun!

Since SHS, River Raisin, BTS, RailMaster, Des Plaines Hobbies, etc. all have
offshore contacts, maybe a company in China, Korea, New Zealand, etc. could
be enticed
to make a RTR scale S turnout. Worth asking about, I would think, if
you have some cash to spare. After all, someone has to pay for it.

Regarding NASG's involvement, Sam McCoy would be the logical person
to ask. This project might be a tough sell, but unless someone
starts the ball rolling by asking, it will never get started. Gotta
start somewhere in addition to sending electrons to Yahoo Groups. .

Good luck...Ed L.
