If you truly want great turnouts. The best available in the HO world are the
PECO brand. They have springs at the points for secure throwing. The
machines line up directly under points so they can be hidden easily. I am
not sure as to how compatible to DCC they are though. It may be interesting
to find out if PECO would consider S scale. They had the first truly
bendable HO flex track in the 1960's. You can bend it and straighten it out
again, no problem.
