Bill...Almost forgot, the locos suspension system, or lack thereof, 
will affect the pulling power.  An equalized system, like the 
prototype, will have all powered wheels firmly planted onto the rails 
with about the same amount of weight on each wheel.  A rigid diesel 
truck, for instance, could have only two or three wheels in contact 
with the rail if the track is a bit uneven or irregular.  Just another 
variable to worry about.  I thought this hobby was supposed to be fun.
