For all interested in the correct trucks for Kaslo NYC 19000 series caboose;

I have been in contact with two separate individuals who are willing to
cast the correct truck for the subject caboose. The numbers are not yet
available, but I am willing to be the POC for such a project if there is
sufficient interest. Contact me off list and if there is sufficient interest,
I will get back to you. I also need to know how many sets of trucks you would
be interested in obtaining. In the meantime, I will post additional
information regarding price, etc.
My plan is to send a set of the correct caboose trucks to be recast. I've
been told that there can be as much as 4% shrinkage. That sounds to me very
small, but if it makes a difference in the fit of the truck onto the caboose
then that is no good. With sufficient interest, I'm willing to take the risk!
I'm sure the price will be affected by the number of sets. So, do not hold
back waiting for a price, as the number interested will determine whether or
not I pursue this further! When you contact me, make sure your post has your
full name and email address listed. Posting your interest on the S-Scale List
won't cut it....contact me directly!

The NYC Caboose Directory indicates the 19000 series cabooses used
5'6" wheel base trucks. I imagine the SHS trucks and others may have
a bit longer wheel base. Even on my brass 19000 series cabooses, it
is a close clearance using 5'6" wheelbase Bettendorf "T" section
trucks. Not sure what is available in S right now at 5'6", but a
shorter wheelbase truck should help...
