Hi Ken

Over in the S-MOD / DCC development yahoo group, we have chatted about the use
of
suitcase connectors and have agreed that they should NOT be used under S-MOD
modules. I
have not finished the proposal yet so it has not surfaced at the NASG level but
I will
try to finish our proposal in January.

that the bus lines run from one terminal strip to the next, and then have a
secondary
local feeder come off of the appropriate terminal on the strip.

In that way, when people show up to meets with their new module and it is wired
wrong,
fixing it will be easier.

If a group is never going to do that, and the same modules are used together
every time,
then this may not be needed.

I have had modules show up that worked fine at home alone, but were wired
backwards, and
when they showed up at a gathering of modules, that module shorted everything
out.

It is easier to fix if wires can be disconnected, rather than cut.

Don DeWitt
