Not knowing much about the building in question but others I have  
seen, I am guessing about the following.
1. The floor may not be supported or thick enough to remain stable.
2. The placement of the structure on a dry foundation would be good  
to prevent condensation and rotting of the floor.
3. There may be condensation due to lack of ventilation. Also  
possible mold issues.
4. temperature variations causing expansion and contraction of layout.
5. ....and the ever present,  ETC!
