Ed,
I would highly recommend the NCE Power Cab system. There are many good
reasons, but it is priced right for a starter set and expandable for a larger
layout. The Cab (Thottle you hold) is as user friendly as any. Check out
Litchfield Station or Tony's Trains for discounted prices. Do not confuse the
PowerCab system with the PROCab system. PROCab is more capable in terms of
numbers of trains you can run at the same time and more expensive.
