Hi ALL --
OK, I will twll you what I did..,
I mounted Kadee 802/808's by drilling two pilot holes sized for the standard
Kadee mounting screws using the coupler box as a guide. I put the coupler box
upper lip tight against the car end sill when doing this. The two holes were
for the center / foreward hole and the rear hole of the coupler box. I used the
Kadee short mounting screws to put it all together. NO painting or fitting or
other shenanigans required. I regularly run these cars in 30+ car trains on 2%
grades without any trouble.
EASY!

Wonderful.
Now I would like to know how to install scale couplers on DPH/SSA tank cars.
