With the start of Chinese New Year, things are a bit slower for me as
all of our engineers are now on vacation. This means no painted samples
and no daily e-mails. Next weekend we will be leaving with our eldest
son Benjamin to visit his wife Sprite in Thailand. Robin will be gone
for two weeks. I will continue on to Hong Kong and China to visit with
our engineers and discuss ongoing and a few new projects. Yes, we will
be discussing the #5 switch, E7s, bay window caboose and other new
projects. I will be back the 2nd week in March. Bill Moitz and Jeff
Wilson will be at the warehouse taking orders and shipping.

On Monday, the shipment with the single trailers, ACL pulpwood cars and
Flextrack arrived. I think I may have under ordered on the SP trailers
as we are scrambling looking for some to fill our back orders. If
anyone would like one of our new SHS trailers or a Railway Express
trailer (includes 9 different 1950’s era advertisement stickers that can
be placed on the trailer’s placard) on a SP TOFC, this can help us out.
You can order online at:

http://www.showcaseline.com/Flatcars/TOFC/tofcs_in_stock.html

In the comment area of the order form. Let us know which trailer you
want us to substitute.

This shipment came at just the right time as we ran out of flex track
right before the Big E train show the end of January. Also in the
shipment is more of our rail. This can be used for our switches. We
keep a supply for scratch builders and Tom’s Turnouts & Trackwork, 37
Kohler Rd, Dresden ME 04342. You can call Tom Stoltz at: 207-737-4303

You can see images of his work at:

Also on Monday, the container ship left with our 00298D & 00299D #3
remote control switches. They should arrive the second week in March.
This is the 2nd year that we have run out of remote control switches in
November. We expect another shipment of switches later this year.

Out of Stock
We ran out of chocks this weekend so flatcars with loads will have to
wait until the re-order arrives. Sorry for this delay.

PS S scale License plates pdf file – I saw this on the S scale
e-group. It was posted by Roy Inman. They are mostly Colorado with
other west coast states. I think these would look great on our trailers
as they moved cross country.
