Ok, Art. But then why have a "Reply All" option? With your idea "Reply" &
"Reply All" are the same thing.
Or did I miss something? I don't resist change. I resist having to do spend
more time when it was such a simple choice before.

Hi Ed - and everybody else
Please don't leave, Ed. You have already contributed more to this group than
the average member's contribution. This is not the first time we have had this
brawl over the list format and if it's not this it will be something else. This
list has more than its share of pointless arguments. There are members who
carry personal grudges from times before most of us got into S scale - there
are others who resist any kind of change - and there are some who just like to
be cranky.
I agree with you on the distribution format of the list. I was one of the
members that Bill Lane referred to when he said "This issue WAS discussed AD
Nauseam years ago."
Aside from discussions about how difficult it is to properly direct our
emails - I imagine each system has a different procedure - my view is that it
this list was intended to share information about S scale. It was broken off
from the S-trains list because of that group's focus on Flyer and hi-rail
equipment. It is easy to determine the context of one's own emails and it is
easy to direct them properly. It is also easy to make a mistake and send an
email in the wrong direction.
I think this list should be a general open conversation about any S-scale
related subject. I think a "reply" selection should be directed to the general
conversation. Any person-to-person correspondence should be directed to the
individual. This is in the control of the user. Once we get used to this life
can return to its smooth and stress-free nature.

So why the attitude? Does common sense annoy you? Perhaps I misunderstood
what this group is for. I honestly thought it was to promote S and share
information. If I'm wrong just say so. I know where the door is.
