Ed,  Since you asked.  I do believe that a photo comp could be made if 
you could find the right "pattern of splash"--kinda like CSI with their 
blood splatter.  I would check out the patterns made by a hydro boat as 
they throw up quite a bit of water.  I have done many splashes and water 
effects in my studio.  They generally are not easy but definately a 
creative challenge. 

Another thought might start with using actual clear plastic Christmas 
ice cycles or perhaps even just plastic wrap from the kitchen.  Have a 
good time with that.
