Hi Don;
I would expect that the general "Module" section would link to an S specific
section. The S module section would have some introductory text, and links to
the NASG module standards section. I would probably also have links to the Sn2
module standards, maybe the S Workshop group's Free-Mo based standards, etc.
No need to update the standards themselves on the Wiki, although it would be
desirable to keep the first off-site page constant so the Wiki link doesn't
break.

Wow... Ok on the storage space.
I am glad that this issue has been addressed.
I think perhaps a document that includes all these facts should be created and
placed in
this Yahoo group in a folder, and of coure on the Wiki site... to help those
who:
1. forget what has been said.
2. show up later and ask the same question for the 89th time,
3. etc.
Regarding modules....
I would suggest that there be a module folder under S scale.
Can there also be a folder placed in other locations such as the general
overall layout
folder with a redirect link to the S scale module folder?
(I see you have created a Modular folder under
Building Model Railroads
Benchwork
on the home page)
I would want to worry only about one location, rather than updating several
spots.
Once I finish with the modular standards / rec. practices, i will be happy to
add content to
the Wiki. I am not sure if the DCC issue will become an RP or standard yet.
Regarding module standards documentation.
What I am working on right now is a update in the S-MOD standards which belongs
to the
NASG and will ultimately be located on their website. Once that is
accomplished we can
add links and explanations in the wiki.
Since these are standards and recommended practices which need to be approved
by the
NASG Board of Trustees (BOT), original Indesign files should not be made
available on a
wiki. These are locked documents that are not open to change without BOT
approval.
Thanks for your effort.
I hope you do not burn out!
Be very careful about that!
Been there... done that!
Don
