Good on Disney for what it has done on the railroading side of things. But
I'm guilty of looking at the BIG picture instead of the one or two
respectable things Disney has done and not just blindly ignoring the rest.
Ignoring the rest is the real shame, and that is the parts I want no child
of mine believing in.

But just for the record... its not just the "business" side of Disney that
I'm so against.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Disney

> Some people on this list are not fans of Disney. That's a shame because
we as model railroaders could learn a great deal from them. Especially in
the way that they tell a story in the theme parks. They create the myth and
play by its own rules which help support the myth. This in turn makes it
believable because of its consistency. As model railroaders we need to
practice to the same techniques to have believable layouts.

> Let's also not forget John Olson a well known HOn3 guy was very much
involved in developing Disney theme parks over the past twenty plus years.
Disney himself was a live steamer and illustrator Ward Kimball was well
known for his back yard steam railway. Look out they are in our midst!
