Greetings:

The first of three super detailed American Models GP9s is on the road.
Pictures are in my group album at
http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/photos/browse/dc05?c= If the link
fails, navigate to my album in the group photo section.

I got sick of waiting for the Tsunami Diesel and installed a TCS T4x and
Soundtraxx DSX sound decoder. The other two will sit in the shop for the
Tsunami, or possibly the new QSI revolution decoder. This was my dual
decoder installation.

I am not sure of the photos show the weathering which is a light coat of
Bragdon chalks over the gloss finish coat. I was told that I needed to
shoot dull coat on a model for the weathering to stick, so this was an
experiment. I still think that is true for a heavy weather job, but for new
engines on the road for a few weeks, the chalks capture the gloss and grime
to my eye.

The last report was that this engine was seen on the NWP heading towards
Fort Bragg, CA.

I now have a clear space on my work bench. Gee I wonder how long that will
last. <VBG>
