May I please jump in here with something that in a way bridges the gap. "I'd like to see them make. . . " S Scale models of the 6-axle, heavy-duty DODX flatcars that are, to a diminished extent, still around. Appropriate loads are already (?) available, though I have often thought back to some of the stuff I saw in the 60s, Pershing, Sergeant, Honest John, etc., that I wish could have on a layout as a reminder of those days when these units actually represented the state of the art at the time.
