In my continuing exploration of S scale products, I came across the
Railway Engineering Switch Stands (http://www.railwayeng.com/handstnd.htm).
After some thought, I realized I could potentially use those in my
S-scale switching layout I am planning to build. However, I was
wondering if someone on this list has bought these before or used
them in an operating layout (yours or someone else's). If so, are
they reliable, effective as far as actual operation is concerned, and
relatively easy to install?
I have always used Tortoise switch machines for my N-scale layouts,
but with the larger scale these types of alternatives are now possible.
Thanks,
Peter.
