Personally, I didn't attend the NMRA convention, so I can't offer any info
about clinics, contests, etc.

Bill McClung, Paul Washburn, and I did represent NASG at the NTS. Also, the
S. CA S Club had its modular layout set up around 100ft. from our booths.
Contrary to a previous comment someone made, we did not have much new product
on display. I think the newest things we had were Jim King's watermelon car kit
and Grand River Model's Greg's grocery. As best as memory will serve me, we did
have product on display from others as follows: Am. Models, SHS, Southwind, S
Scale America, Turner Model Works, Tom's Track, Lehigh Valley Models, Laser
Art, and GC Designs. I may have overlooked one or two.

The one person I forgot to contact for product was Terry Putt. But, all was
not lost. A couple of Flyer guys had a layout set up that included one of
Terry's trolley cars.

The S. CA Club had a nice variety of engines and cars that they changed out
frequently on their modular layout. Lots of "ohhs" and "ahhs" from the crowd
for the AM Northern chugging around the layout.

By coincidence, the gentleman for whom Grand River Models' Greg's Grocery
kit was named happened to stop by the NASG booths. He is a friend of Barry
Silverthorne's who owns Grand River Models. Those Canadians stick together.

Other booths showing S included S Scale America (Des Plaines Hobbies),
Railmaster, NJ Signal, Bar Mills, and Hunter Lumber.

As time allows, I'll send some pictures to Jeff Madden for inclusion in the
"NASG Dispatch".
