Hi Bob;
Excellent! I should think there would be an initial market for the parts (maybe
a pre-packaged set) to detail the AM pacific while you work up to full
locomotives.
RTR or near-RTR drive mechanisms might also be a way to spread the cost. I know
I would be more comfortable building a superstructure for a nicely running Mike
chassis than trying to assemble the SSLS kits in my collection.

Thank you for your response. It will be put on file. We are looking at
producing from a new material that will decrease the cost from brass, but give
it more accurate detail and better rolling feature.
Also, we will probably offer parts to also make a Cole Trailing Truck with
the same parts for those that need that version. More later.. We know that we
can bring this part in for about 75% of the cost in brass.
We are also looking at bringing out a complete short and long USRA tender
kit. It would be complete with trucks and ready to add sound..
What we are heading toward is producing USRA engines, 4-6-2 and 2-8-2 for
around $750.00 each. We are trying to put a program together of bringing out
the detail parts to make complete engines and then mechanisms then Boilers then
Cabs.
Will see how developement goes.
